Australia’s Youth Representative to the United Nations is a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity. However, while I will receive limited support from the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade in the form of accommodation in New York, this is a full-time, unsalaried position. I have had to take a career break from my position with ANZ and will be unable to undertake any paid work during the 12 month period.
My goal is to consult with thousands of young Australians prior to heading to New York so that I can be well placed to represent Australian youth on the world stage. This is an expensive process and I seek support from organization or Foundation to ensure that these important objectives are achieved.
