Check out my most recent blog posts –
I’m Benson, currently live in Melbourne and at 25 years old I have been fortunate to have had a number of exciting opportunities to travel, meet great people, advocate on issues I’m passionate about and generally work on projects that hopefully inspire, do good and make me happy.
I currently wear a number of ‘hats’ in my working life and these influence my writing. Below are the main ‘hats’ I wear on a regular basis…
Director of the National Indigenous Youth Leadership Academy; I get to work with wonderful Indigenous students from across Australia to ensure we have future leaders that have strong voices, passionate about issues that impact them and are inspired to led social change.
International Member of the World Youth Conference Taskforce; In 2011 I was the Australian Youth Representative to the United Nations, which I negotiated on 2 key resolutions during the 66th Session of the UN General Assembly. One of the practical outputs of the ‘Youth Resolution’ was for Sri Lanka to host the WYC in 2014. As such, I was appointed on the task force to develop the WYC with 10 other young people from across the globe and the Sri Lankan government.
Youth Representative to the Australian National Commission for UNESCO; the NatCom is a representative body appointed by the Australian Government to oversee UNESCO operations in Australia as well as support initiatives that strive to impact UNESCO outcomes through grants and public support.
These roles generally influence my writing and greatly influence the lack of regular blog posts but if you aren’t fazed by irregularly posted, non-partisan influenced and sometimes incoherently argued posts then please subscribe, like or if you are old school then just bookmark.
Thanks for following!
